Crown Group Activity Report During a Group parents'
meeting early 2004, it was decided that the members of the Group's
training sections would have a day out together. After further
discussion, agreement was made that we would visit the Deep Sea World
attraction at North Queensferry, Fife. Arrangements
were made with Deep Sea World, a coach was booked and information was
issued to all the Group's families. Very quickly, all 49 places were
reserved by Cubs, Scouts, Explorers, leaders and additional family
members. On Saturday 12 June, we were off!

During the visit, the members went behind the scenes at the Centre to
see how the staff looked after sick and new-born fish. They also toured
many displays and fish tanks that contained rare and dangerous fish and
reptiles. Some Cubs even got to hold a real snake!
On the way home, we stopped at McDonalds in Perth for dinner. Luckily we
had 'phoned our order on the way, which reduced waiting time
considerably. Very soon everyone was tucking into their burgers and
chips. Some even continued the fishy theme by having a Filet-O-Fish!
