| A
Crown Group Activity Report Due to the
success of the 2004 Group day out to Deep Sea World at North Queensferry,
we decided that we'd have another day out together during 2005! This
time, we arranged a day out for a group of Cubs, Scouts and Explorer
Scouts to visit the Glasgow Science Centre. In
total, 39 Group members participated in the trip, which involved meeting
at 7:45am, ready for an 8am departure from Inverness. On the way south,
we stopped off for a break at the excellent Ballinluig Services; where
bacon rolls and tea were the order of the day!

We arrived at the Science Centre at around 12:30pm, and headed straight
in to register our arrival and arrange our lunch-time meeting place.
Then the Cubs and Scouts were off to explore the 4 floors of hands-on
activities! At 1pm, we met up for packed lunches, then off to play
again!
On our way home, we stopped off at McDonalds in Perth for dinner.
Luckily we'd 'phoned-in our order on the way, so our food was waiting
for us on our arrival. After about an hour, we were off again, and we
arrived back in Inverness just before 9pm. A grand day out! |
