Crown Scout Troop was officially registered during 1921,
although Troop records go back as far as 1916. Since then, the Scout section has been joined by four additional sections:
Beaver Scouts, Cub Scouts, Venture Scouts (ceased 2002) and Explorer Scouts (from 2002).
The UK national programme review, which saw a complete change in the training programme and section structure,
took effect during 2002. The existing Venture Scout section ceased to exist,
and the all-new Explorer Scout section was created, catering for members aged 14-18. |

Young people may join Crown at any time, from age 6 onwards, and will become members of the section appropriate to their age.
